Summer just snuck up on me. It grabbed me by the shoulders, spun me around a few times, and said, "Darling! Whether you're ready or not... I'm here!" It's delightful to shed all the layers, and feel the warm sun on my skin.Everything has been a big blur these past few months in my little world. With my big move (we'll get into that later), traveling, and work, it has been really hard to keep track of time, and to really enjoy the sun. I found myself spending late nights in the office, living out of two suitcases, jumping from airbnb to hotels in between cities and projects. I'm not going to lie, it has been tough for your girl. But the challenge has been accepted. We just have to breathe and believe, right?
A couple of weeks ago, I forced myself to take some time off by attending Sweet Spot Festival, a free, family friendly Harlem festival. I also made sure to set some time to be grateful for all my opportunities, and to make the best out of everything whenever I could. I know I talk about comfort all the time. But this time, comfort was my priority. I packed my white and gold Nike Cortez shoes because they made it easy to get dressed in the morning. They go with pretty much everything! I was able to wear them with short shorts, cropped jeans, and some of my easy shift dresses. I even traveled to Paris with them to attend a few matches at Roland Garros. They were the perfect everyday shoe to pack in my suitcase. I love how comfortable and classic they are. I already have two pairs, but I'm currently eyeing this pair of rich gold ones. I can't wait to pair them with more looks this summer through fall!
