Pink on pink with a little fringe

I love a good monochromatic look. The only thing is, I can't seem do it. I admire those who can wear one color from head to toe from afar, and this look is probably the closest I'll ever get. Lord knows I love mixing color. Give me all the colors. All of them!

I've been really into wearing trousers lately. It might be the whole turning thirty thing, ya know? I used to hate pants, but now a good comfortable pair is my go-to in the morning or in the evening for cocktail events. I'm probably just over buying so many pairs of tights and stockings during the cold weather seasons. Can we talk about wearing a pair of stockings once then having to discard them because they seem to always rip no matter how careful we are? I'm not even talking about the two-dollar kinds!

We all go through waves in our personal style, where we find ourselves pulled by a specific look of key wardrobe pieces over others. My new wave is trousers over skirts, and statement earrings over necklaces. There are always exceptions of course, but now... give me pants! Loose pants, tight (comfortable) pants, ankle length pants... Let's not forget pants and sneakers, pants and loafers, pants with high heels.

Speaking of heels, can you believe these gorgeous babies are under $100? I gasped when I found them. I envisioned them with jeans, wrap dresses, dressed up, down, and everything in between. So of course they had to be part of my collection. I was reorganizing my closet recently, and noticed this pink ensemble staring right back at me. Living in New York City is tough as an aspiring fashion aficionado. I was packing my summer stuff away to make room for my various sweaters and other fluffy things that keep me warm during the harsh winter seasons. It seems I refuse to let go of my sweaters, even when they proudly bare wear and tears from several years hard work protecting my skin and spirit from the cold. But a job had to be done! And from that job, this super feminine, fun look was born.
